„Gemeinsam für naturwissenschaftlich-technischen Unterricht“ ist das Motto des Schülerlabor-Netzwerks GenaU. Im Netzwerk haben sich seit 2006 verschiedene Schülerlabore an Forschungseinrichtungen, Hochschulen und Museen in Berlin und Brandenburg zusammengeschlossen. Die inzwischen 18 Schülerlabore und acht assoziierten Partner des Netzwerks machen Forschung für Schulklassen erlebbar und möchten junge Menschen für Naturwissenschaften begeistern. Die Angebote werden von Lernenden und Lehrenden gleichermaßen genutzt. Das Ziel von GenaU ist, Ressourcen und Wissen zu bündeln und die Angebote der Schülerlabore im Netzwerk qualitativ weiterzuentwickeln. Besonders durch Kooperationsprojekte möchte das Netzwerk einen Beitrag zur MINT-Bildung und Nachwuchsförderung in Berlin und Brandenburg leisten. GenaU hat seinen Sitz an der Freien Universität Berlin und wird gefördert durch die Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Familie.
