International Perspectives on STEM Education

The afternoon session, “What about the E? International Perspectives on STEM Education,” will provide a space to discuss the role of engineering within STEM education. Key topics for discussion include:  What structures and partnerships support effective collaboration between schools and extracurricular STEM providers?  How can engineering drive the other STEM disciplines, both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities?  What steps can we take to make STEM education more inclusive and engaging for students of all genders, backgrounds, and identities?  This session will offer several opportunities for learning and exchange, including:  Presentations from experts in STEM education,  An open panel discussion for active engagement and idea-sharing,  A chance for participants to present their engineering or informatics projects and spark conversations on important questions, through the “ Meet My Project ” segment,  A celebration of the 2024 Meet and Code Award winners, recognizing innovative contributions to STEM education,  Networking opportunities, where attendees can connect with others in the field over coffee, tea and cake.  We invite you to join us for this afternoon session, where we’ll share ideas, connect with experts, and discuss a variety of experiences in engineering education within STEM.  See the full agenda here The afternoon session will take place here
