Wie entstehen eigentlich Bugs in Spielen? Warum ruckelt ein Online-Match, wenn der Server überlastet ist? Und welche Logik steckt hinter Spielmechaniken? Solche Fragen können nicht nur den Unterricht spannender gestalten, sondern auch zeigen, wie eng Informatik mit der Lebensrealität von Jugendlichen verbunden ist.

Digitale Spiele gehören für viele Kinder und Jugendliche selbstverständlich zum Alltag. Ob Konsole, PC oder Smartphone – sie prägen Freizeit, Gespräche und Erfahrungen.

Für den Informatikunterricht eröffnet genau das eine besondere Chance: Statt nur abstrakte Konzepte zu vermitteln, lassen sich zentrale Fragen an Themen knüpfen, die Schüler:innen ohnehin faszinieren.

Über dieses Potenzial und die didaktischen Möglichkeiten spricht Fatma Batur, Lehrerin für Mathematik und Informatik. Während ihrer Zeit als abgeordnete Lehrkraft an der Universität Duisburg-Essen erforschte sie, welche Vorstellungen Schüler:innen bereits zu digitalen Spielen mitbringen und wie dieses Vorwissen im Unterricht gezielt genutzt werden kann. Ihr Ansatz: ein praxisnaher Informatikunterricht, der begeistert und Jugendlichen Zugänge zu komplexen Themen eröffnet.

Wir laden Euch herzlich ein, gemeinsam mit Fatma Batur und weiteren Gäst:innen darüber zu diskutieren, wie sich Informatikunterricht an der Lebenswelt von Schüler:innen orientieren und so langfristig Motivation, Verständnis und Kreativität fördern kann.

Für eine spannende Einführung konnten wir Dr. Thomas Lilge gewinnen – Co-Head des game.lab Berlin und Referent für Kultur & Kreativwirtschaft an der Berlin University Alliance.
Er beschäftigt sich mit der Konzeption und Umsetzung von digitalen und analogen Lern- und Erlebnisangeboten. In seinem Impuls nähert er sich dem Thema „Spiele“ aus kultur-, sozial- und bildungswissenschaftlicher Perspektive – und schafft damit die Grundlage für einen lebendigen Dialog zwischen Forschung und Praxis.
